Other Information Regarding The School And Its Engineering Program:

All students are required to complete a minimum of one "Sea Term" - a 52-day voyage aboard the school's training ship Kennedy, a 15,500-HP, 540-foot steam ship. During that time cadets rotate through class and laboratory training at sea and ship operations including deck and engine watches, maintenance and emergency drills. The cost for each Sea Term is approximately $3700. (Note: Students majoring in Marine Engineering or Marine Transportation must complete four Sea Terms.)

In addition to earning a bachelor's degree, students can optionally earn a either a Merchant Marine Officer's License or a Naval Officer's Commission.
